Une étape accidentée attendait les coureurs ce jeudi entre Saint-Martin & Saint-Albin-de-Vaulserre et Bourgoin-Jallieu, avec 134,3 km au programme.
Dès le kilomètre zéro, une échappée matinale de quatre coureurs se forme :

Les hommes de tête creusent rapidement l’écart avant que la Côte de Béjui, au kilomètre 96,6, ne fasse exploser le groupe sous l’impulsion du peloton.
Avec l’enchaînement des difficultés du jour, le peloton se réduit progressivement, mais aucun coureur ne parvient à faire la différence pour s’isoler à l’avant de la course.
Au terme d’un sprint disputé, Tom LAMBERT WETZEL (VC Villefranche Beaujolais) franchit la ligne en tête, avec seulement quelques centimètres d’avance.
Pas de changement au classement général. Le maillot jaune reste sur les épaules de Matisse VAN KERCKHOVE (Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development).
